Addons for Pet Collectors
The World of Warcraft community has created a variety of top-notch mods* for small pet enthusiasts.
Pet Summoning
- Kennel »
Kennel automatically puts out a random pet whenever you need one. It will not summon your pet if you're stealthed, mounted, flying, moving, casting, or in an arena or BG. It also avoids putting out a pet in certain subzones where a quest summons a pet for you.
- MiniPet »
This mod reminds you to summon a minipet whenever you lose your companion due to events like porting and entering an instance. Features tons of customization, including favorites and zone favorites!
- NugMiniPet »
This addon will ALWAYS keep a vanity pet by your side! It hooks companions to forward movement, auto-summoning a random pet whenever you walk or run (provided you don't have one summoned). Also includes a setting for favorites.
- Petleash »
Another addon that always keeps a vanity pet by your side based on the list of pets you choose. Includes options for auto-disabling while stealthed, making it ideal for rogues and druids.
- RandomCompanion »
This mod allows you to choose a random pet or mount at the push of a button. Companions can be weighted to be chosen more or less often, or disabled altogether. When mounting, the mod will automatically choose the best type of mount based on your location.
- GoGoPet »
A one-key solution for calling random pet critters to your side. This mod offers less bells and whistles than MiniPet for those who prefer lighter addons. Simply bind a key or use a macro: /click GoGoPetButton.
Pet Management
- PetList+ »
This mod gives the Companion Frame a new layout, making it easier to go through the list, especially if you have large numbers of Critters or Mounts to page through. It is also very tiny, coming in at just 16KB.
- Pocket Menagerie »
This addon shows you all of your pets in a single frame and enables you to pick 10 as your favorites. Quickly summon your favorites whenever you like without having to search for ages.
- Livestock »
This mod sorts your pets into land mounts, flying mounts, and vanity pets. Then, with the push of a button or use of unique slash commands, you can randomly summon any of the three.
- OneCompanion »
This addon provides an alternative to the default companion frame introduced in patch 3.0, combining all of your companions and mounts into one fully customizable frame.
Pet Collecting
- The Collector »
This addon displays a list of all mounts or minipet companions that your character hasn't learned yet. It takes into account factors such as your faction, class, or profession.
- Collect Me »
This mod keeps track of your companions and mounts and can show you any that you are missing with additional information on where to get them. It also can summon companions randomly with a prioritiy list.
- PetShop »
When visiting a pet vendor, PetShop lets you know which of your alts already have the pet in question and which alts need it.
