Before being able to farm for this companion, players must complete a quest chain. This chain is started at the entrance of the Eastern Plaguelands (from Western Plaguelands) and is given by the NPC Fiona. See our Community Guide: Mr. Grubbs for details.

This guy is easy to obtain, go to the flight path in the east of Eastern Plaguelands, take the quest from Fiona, do it, then come back to her at her caravan. Whether you continue the quest chain or not is up to you (there is an achievement for finishing it).

Interact with her caravan and choose "Fiona's Lucky Charm", which will allow you to loot [Hidden Stash] from any mob. This item can be opened and is where you find your pet. Got mine from 3rd bag while doing the quest-line.

I just got him on live - a great place to farm mobs once you have completed the required quests from Fiona is the grubs south of Light's Hope Chapel. There are areas where there are 8+ roaming around in close proximity to one another, and it's easy to tag them all with a dot and then AoE them down, or just let your dot do the work. I killed around 500 grubs (which lead me to about 30 Hidden Stashes) before he pet dropped for me. Best of luck! His animation is very cute. :)

2 things
1: you can hold more than one bag at once
2: when farming for this, go up to Zul'Mashar in the North-East, very fast respawn rates and you can kill them very fast.

The "Source" for the pet should be modified to say;

DROP: [Hidden Stash] (via various level 40-45 mobs found in Eastern Plaguelands) while having Fiona's Lucky Charm Buff

After you find Fiona, you have to do the two separate quest-lines she gives. Her caravan will then have the quest to give you "Fiona's Lucky Charm" buff, which allows the [Hidden Stash] to drop. Got him in 11 tries from an Infected Mossflayer.

Took me less than 10 minutes to get 2.  I killed everything in Noxious Glade.  The first Mr.Grubbs I got came from either the first or second bag that dropped for me. The last dropped maybe 4 bags later? Pretty high drop rate or I got lucky.

Spent some time farming him until i found a spot near corins crossing.. just under the letter 'g' on top of a hill. The grubbs there are many and spawn quickly. i got Mr. Grubbs in 5 minutes and learned it, turned around and shot another grubb for the heck of it, got another Mr. Grubbs 10 seconds later. Sad that these are soulbound and i had to vendor it :-( This was a lot easier than getting the disgusting oozeling, i still haven't learned that one yet, saving him for #100.. only 10 more to go!

I got lucky with this guy and found him at around my 7th bag! He's pretty hideous, but I will gladly add him to my companion family :]

For me, I was only able to have one "Hidden Stash" bag in my inventory at a time, so make sure to loot it as soon as you pick it up, otherwise you might spend a few minutes wondering why you haven't come across another one.

Iv found that zul'mashar is the best place to farm for the grub. Its an enclosed area with a good amount of mobs, also there are graves around that spawn zombies that also have a chance to drop the hidden stash.

There is very little downtime.

I don't see anything on this site for the Tiny Flamefly yet, its a quest reward from a long chain that starts in Searing Gorge and Burning Steppes^^

Go to the caravan before you do anything else in the area, get the charm to get the bags and then go do your quests for the area quests achievement and you'll get two things done at once!

I did all the quests in epl that I needed for my achievement and I had fiona's buff the entire time. I got mr grubbs four(!) times while doing the quests.

I just made it a goal to get like 15 bags and then open them all at once. Only took me like an hour. The bags are from any mobs from 40-45 like Breanni says, but it does'nt have to be just from grubs though, as some are saying. Several undeads and dogs dropped bags as well. Should'nt take anyone very long to get this baby! Good Luck!!! I think I heard this lil guy Burp!

He may look exactly like other grubs and maggots, but he's so athletic that he just makes me go "Awwww" every time he jumps! I almost wanna hug him and squeeze him... but I won't call him George. ;)

 

In all seriousness, he's also quite a good battle pet. He hits decently well and his speed is good too. I just keep him on the default skill set and that's usually enough to deal with most encounters.

2/3 characters I have got this pet just while questing in the zone :P

 

It's very powerful, easily taking on enemies some levels higher than it. Worth grinding for IMO, if you dont get it just by questing.

I got this little guy on my account just while questing in the zone. I am now trying to get him for my husband. After 3 hours and 2 levels gained just from killing mobs (no quest turn ins at all!), still no luck! I am gonna take a break and try again tomorrow... Maybe.

this pet is highly underestimated.At lvl 21 is amazing against undead and solo'd stitches and others in menagerie

I found mine just off the road to the east of Corin's Crossing, the one thing I did notice was but no idea if it was just a coincidence, the grub that dropped it was moving much quicker than the others, he was moving back and forth at some speed and I somehow had a feeling he was the one after about half an hour :D

The grubs of the Plaguelands are a side effect of necromantic corruption and the massive number of corpses there. Mr. Grubbs is from a particularly acrobatic breed.
