It's pretty again!  So glad they brought back the extra shinies.

This battle pet is a beast! Unlike it's sprite darter hatchling brother it is a flying type. With that comes the 50% speed bonus! This speed boost pretty much ensures that you will go first and with evanescence it makes it last two rounds (initial cast and next round). Couple that with Moonfire that boosts Arcane Blast and you have a pet that can take down other pets to 25% health before you even get hit! Also with a breed type 4 and rare quality this pet has 341 attack at 25!

Not sure why they felt the need to change their appearance, they looked great before.  :(

As of patch 7.2, these no longer have their ghostly appearance.  They now look like regular faerie dragons with a blue body.  :(

Bring back the old model please.  There is no reason to take a unique appearance out of the game especially when you can already obtain the new appearance from another source!

Easily my most versatile PvE pet in the P/P build. Very useful for power levelling off the moths in timeless isle, start with arcane blast to get them to ~55%, then Moonfire to finish them off and you start the next pet with the dragon buff. Life exchange when the third pet comes out.

I've experimented with S/S in PvP with moderate success using evanescense to dodge 2 attacks when possible. I actually one-manned some poor guy several times in one night with this build.

Picked up both P/P and S/S versions(341 power or 325 speed respectively). I'm finding the speedy version alot more useful in PvP in general. Evanescence is more useful and you can punish birds earlier.

Works well in a clonedancer team. Sometimes it does feel like the speedy version is a bit weak though when trying to go toe to to with some other pet.

If you go with P/P I think Life-Exchange is more benefitial than Evanescence.

Double counter against fliers, being dragonkin with magic attacks.

I don't know why I waited so long to lvl this thing, it's one of the most useful battle pets around.  Life Exchange is the greatest move ever when you're battling BoF.  Plus it's magic!  Flyers don't have a chance.  It did take a while to catch a rare, but they are plentiful around Dire Maul.

I have to say, this guy is a staple of my 'Beasts of Fable' team. Life Exchange is devastating against the 4k+ hp pets, even if you use it at full health it will take 1.3-1.5k off of the enemy. Add in that it can be used while they are using Liftoff/Dive/Burrow and it really makes battling them a breeze.

I do wish he was still flying though, I caught an attack breed and having 340 atk/390 spd above 50% hp was the best!

Yes, as Koneko mentions. This used to be a Flying pet, now (as per 5.1) a Dragonkin. Which makes it exactly like my Sprite Darter Hatchling. Same abilities. How lame. I liked how it looked like a Dragonkin and had abilities like one but was a Flying. Maybe to trick someone in a battle. But that time is over. /sadface

I find it really weird that the flavour text for this guy says it has a 'natural defense against magic', yet they gave it the flying type which takes 50% extra magic damage. Perhaps it was supposed to be a dragon type.

I must have murdered 250 of these poor things looking for a P/P of any quality. After 3 hours of collecting/dumping 8 rares and passing over tons of poor, common, and uncommon, I made do with a H/P. Has anyone collected a P/P recently? Do they still exist?

*edit: If your PetBattleID addon is out of date, you will not see the correct ID on a lot of pets. Wow, that explains a lot of issues.

Beautiful model and absolutely destroys flying pets. Go PP for PvE fights and SS for PvP.

This dragon and my SS Nordrassil Wisp make a great 2-pet team against both the arakkoa trainer and the one with moths, makes it really easy to level up other pets.

I haven't used this pet for PvP yet, but it by far my favorite for the pandarian pet dailies.  I she can solo the whispering spirit, I also use her for for my team for the fire and water spirit.  She's part of my build for probably half of the pandarian tamers, and is great for power leveling low level pets.

These are plentiful right around Dire Maul, in the same areas the Gordok Ogres occupy. If you're Horde, the quickest way to get there is to fly to Stonemaul and then just step out through the back opening in the fence -- there will likely be one fluttering around not twenty feet in front of you! They seem to respawn quite fast, and this area is often completely deserted, so most of the time you won't have a lot of competition.

I had always wanted one of these as a hunter pet... so I went over there to get one as a companion. Got a rare on my third one and named her Glimmer... until I found the battle master there.. and her's was named Glimmer o.O

I haven't tested it in PvP, but Evanescence will block two attacks if it goes first. It probably will with the speed boost. Vs. other flying things, it gets a +50% boost on already massive damage abilities. You see quite a bit of them, so even without healing, this thing is still a powerhouse to use while collecting pets.

Much like other faerie dragons, these playful and mystical flyers are born with a natural defense against magic.
