Well, motherhood isn't for everyone.
As a Night Elf she gives me Pride for she is one of our own and full of the Elven Magic. She reminds me of the splendor of our race and a Crowning Jewel to our Mother Elune. Her Wings glorify Elune in their Beauty. As a Druid I am happy to make sure her kind still thrive to astound us all in our walk with Nature. She never fails to bring a smile upon my face.
I only started playing a year ago. At first I just wandered around exploring and ended up in farals. I was such a new player that I didnt even know companion pets existed! and I was low level so mobs kept attacking me. I remember dying, a bunch. But I obviously killed the right one becuse, as I was vendoring I saw it. I SERIOUSLY almost vendored it. I had never seen somthing with the option to right click to do anything. So thats what I did, and got my first and favorite pet.
How come this isn't in the top 20 best looking pets?
This should be your go-to pet against all Flying opponents. It has that amazing combination of taking less damage from their flying abilities (since it's a Dragonkin) but ALSO has Magic abilities, which deal 50% more damage against those same Flying critters.
Perfect combo! Not to mention she is a beaut! One of the few times the Blizzard Gods loved us.
I found mine in Feralas while murdering Noxious Whelps. I was looking for an Emerald Whelpling when this dropped insted! Imagine my surprise and delight! especially since I didn't even know they dropped in the aria. Sprite Darter was on a later to do list.
...I also got my Whelpling. YIPPEE!
BY FAR my favorite pet. The Sprite Darter has a stunning, unique appearance combined with S/S and a great moveset. Evanescence works wonderfully, as the Darter is faster than most pets and can "disappear" early, effectively blocking two of the opponent's moves. It can also pack quite a punch with moonfire and then a chain of arcane blasts, especially when the dragonkin passive activates!
Love, love, love this pet. I used to go do the old quest chain for this pet on every Ally toon :D The pet that I use in battle has now been named "Brightwing" after the HotS hero that I also love <3
This was a super rare drop from mobs back in Vanilla BEFORE being a quest pet. and now it is back to a drop pet, just not as rare as it was to get to drop back in the day. I farmed for a couple of weeks to get this one, with the help of my ex. It was little known, but when he got one to drop while questing and trying to not get killed he showed me and we headed off together to find one of these beauties for me. Good luck on the hunt! This is still one of my most cherished pixals <3
With this beauty you can 'solo' 6-7/10 Beasts of Fable if you use Life Exange. Sadly when using against beast it's an instant 25% extra damage, and he can't handle it alone... Regardless, it is definitely my favorite pet above all.
And it's a shame that Nether Faerie Dragon now has the exact same abilities...Got this back in the day when it was awarded in the end of a quest chain. The chain and the fact that you would get this adorable pet from it was not well known back then, and we were not so big on checking every little thing online yet either. It was a well kept secret by a few of us for a good while. I have never been so happy to recive a pet before.. "Congrats, Akeleie. You're a parent... kinda"
Wonderful appearance and animations, and one of my top choices for battle. Perfect pet to take out the first two pets on Veshaar, for instance. You can evanesce out of the first root crush (and at least one round of normal attacks) on Veshaar's second pet, and with "normal" RNG, die just in time to bring in a leveler for the third pet. Or, as Ashlei says, the sprite darter hatchling is sleeping after that accomplishment. So much fun.

The NFD has always been a go-to for me and now that I have this dude, I'm feeling pretty awesome! I use life exchange quite a bit when fighting the beasts of fable. I am excited to take on the Celestial Tournament armed with an extra pet with this capability!
