One of my favourite Elementals. With Wild Winds and Bash this guy does not have to be scared of Aquatics as most other Elementals. Mine has ended many Magical Crawdads. I prefer the H/S breed with 289 speed to get more out of Bash, my second choice would probably be the P/B breed. Nice partner in a lightning team, just be wary of casting lightning(even if strong damage) against Death Adders often it just hurts more than you gain. Not as good at taking on mechanicals as regular elementals.

While it's a cool looking pet, it's absolutely useless for battling since it's only strong against Aquatic which it's also the weakest against.

Still, it's a great looking pet.

2.43am server time, there was 15 of them (yep, I counted), not one single rare quality, mostly common, only two were uncommon. Several new swear words have now been added to my list.

I agree that killing other battle pets seems to help spawn these guys. I camped the spawn point for a little over an hour before 2 other collectors came and sat on top of me. Not wanting to be disappointed if I lost out in a mad dash against them, I just logged to an alt on a lower pop server.

Did a /who to confirm I was essentially alone in the zone then went around killing all battle pets in 5min incriments and camping the spawn point for 5min after. Got a rare P/B in under 30min.

These little guys, similarly to the Pandaren Air Spirit have the odds stacked against it, somewhat.

It's an elemental (so it's weak to water based abilities) with flying abilities (which are strong only against water pets). :/

Your best bet for actually using it is either against water pets few to no water abilities or unrelated pets which have abilities weak against elementals (like mechanical abilities, for example).

I was reading the comments and saw that some are convinced that killing the elementals at the Circle of Outer Binding does not help. I'm not going to say that it does or does not help, and this could be coincidence, but when I arrived there weren't any Tiny Twisters there. I killed most of the Thundering Exiles then went to go kill a Grasslands Cottontail in the area. I came back and one had spawned.

If you don't find any Tiny Twisters at The Circle Of Outer Binding, kill all the Thundering Exiles. They will respawn as the pets. I've tried it and it works. I killed all of them and two pets appeared when the other elementals respawned.

Checked the area may times, no luck. Tried killing Thundering exiles, critters and do pet battles in the wider area. Never seen one. Today killing exiles/critters/pet battles for 2 hours, nothing. Went archeology and back, nothing, went for lofty libram (lucky after 10 battles) and back, nothing. Went archeology and back:nothing. Killed 2 Thundering exiles and suddenly 1 green spawned. After seconds some more without kills. Happy finally seeing one! Time 15:16 and no special weather.

I caught a rare Tiny Twister shortly after WoW came back online after its weekly maintenance. The whole area was entirely repopulated, and there were at least 10 Tiny Twisters spawned. My rare popped after clearing about half of them, and some of the added pets were rares as well.

tl;dr - check for Twisters immediately after weekly maintenance.

Well, I just cleared all the mobs out of boredom, and as soon as I did, two common quality Tiny Twisters spawned. Luck or not, I'll take it. That's what stones are for.

Read that killing other pets in the zone had a chance of spawning this one, so I did one lap around the area while leaving dead critters in my wake.  Came back to the spawn spot and found someone else battling it.

Urgh...

So ten mins later I did another lap around the area, once again murdering innocent pets.  Came back and found the SAME GUY camping the spot.

ahahaha...NO!  I shall not be doing his dirty work for him again!  Logged.

Haven't seen one at all until today (I don't farm it a lot).  Killed lots of exiles, but that didn't seem to help.  Finally had one spawn (uncommon), a few minutes after killing the 3 in the center and looting them...he spawned off to the north, by himself, before any of the center ones respawned.

It seems to be a simple random spawn...weather was clear / cloudy, nothing else I could see that would trigger them, so I'd think just keep at it and you'll eventually run into one.

I waited around for about 30 minutes when the Tiny Twister spawned. I got a green one on my first try. Going to keep looking for a blue. :)

So instead of waiting around and killing things for this to spawn (Which we did for about 15 minutes...no paitence here)

Me and my boyfriend went on our DK alts on a RP realm and made our way to where they spawn. And I was proud to see that there was atleast 7-10 there. I didn't catch a rare but an uncommon. Hope this helps someone out there.

I was just flying through the zone to get to a digsite when I saw a cool pet there. I was like, nice, I don't have this one yet, so I caught it and it was rare H/S twister. I had no idea it was so hard to find until I came here to read something about him. I find him very useful in PvP pet battles, 10 battles with him so far and zero loss.

I use him in a team with Mechanical Axebeak and Lil' XT, but I'm sure there are better uses of him out there. What do you use tha Tiny twister with?

Ok so I had gone to get a Tiny Bog Beast and, well, first battle rare and H/S what I wanted.  So I had an Elemental stone in bags didn't use it.  Headed up to Arathi Highlands seeking this elemental.  There were none so I just alt tabbed, flew around, found myself a rare prairie dog WOOP.  Anywho flew back and there it was just 1... RARE and H/S.  Shoot not bad at all, 40 mins well spent.  Still have my stone hehe.
