Patch 5.0.1 | Posted: September 25, 2012
Can be found alongside Crazed Water Spirits at Drak'Sotra Fields, south of The Argent Stand.
Level 0: 0 0 0
The trolls of Zul'Drak inadvertently created these little beings while summoning water elementals to fight the Scourge.
oookkkk for those of you who were having issues finding where to go... WAY POINT 41, 72 there is this little bog like area with the little water elemental type guys, as well as these little water wavelings! He's so cute next to my mage water elemental. =)
There not bugged, just higher chanse for poor/uncommon.
These guys come along with arctic hairs, spiders and snakes. They are also all over the Dark'Sotra Fields, fast respawn, you don't have to worry about running out as there are a LOT running around. A close by stable master at the Argent Stands (directly north) can offer fast heals (target Fala if you can't find em)
Be mindfull and clear some of the crazed water spirits as they can run into you and interrupt your battle.
Love this pet, he's in my main pvp squad. Geyser is insane, and, if need be, the other team has a strong elemental they save for ending the match, tidal wave is an excellent skill for weakening it to the point where one of your other two pets can deal with it easily. Â I love this pet, and suggest it highly. Â as well as the last guy, I got a rare, quite luckily, i'd say on about my 4'th pet battle with the npc waveling's.
what i love about this pet in pet battles is that the first spell i cast is always Frost Nova which roots the pet that is attacking you 2 rounds. I always cast this first. Which messes up the good players who switch in and out their first few pets. I literally won 12 games in a row just by starting with this pet against 25 petters.Â
I love this pet against mechanical. Does a lot of damage and doesn't take a lot of damage. I use this one against the Darkmoon Tonk when doing the Darkmoon Pet Tamer. Can almost always take the Tonk down and still be standing to take the first hit of the Monkey which is always the stun.
Ditto on the kazoodles of them (a mini army)...lol. There does seem to be a greater majority of "1065" in the health stat when it comes to the uncommon green. They spawn faster than you can battle them. Got my Rare on fourth hit. If you are looking for a rare spider, then this is the place to go for the 21-23 lvl range. They are in most of the LP's. This is deff the place to lvl grind your pets...I'll be coming back for sure....:)
apprx. hit points for rarity at lvl 22:
899 Poor
980 Common
1018-1063 Uncommon
1095 Rare
There are dozens of these in the location shown. Between that and the fact that it only comes in two possible breeds, you shouldn't have to worry about stoning this guy. I managed to find a rare H/S after only 5 or 6 battles.
Just grabbed mine on the first try. I have always been in love with the Water and Air Elementals and this looks cool! I'm eager to see how he runs.
I've knocked out an enitre team using nothing but his tidal wave and never swapping him out. Against the right team he's a powerful pet, especially good against other elementals.Â
I'm so upset!! I finally found a rare after over 60 battles and my Spawn of Onyxia critical striked it dead with one shot!!!! My Terrible Turnip was dead and out of the cue. Now he's healed and back in. Back to the grind :(
Got this rare on my third fight! Â My lucky day!
Found a B/B rare at 42.1,79.4, Zul'Drak, from what I read this is the preferred breed. Using three level 25s, I rushed through by starting the battle to check if the Water Waveling was a rare, if not I clicked forfeit which costs 10% of all the active battle pets' health. It was a short trip back to the Stable Master at Argent Stand for healing, this tactic meant about 15 pointless battles were avoided (ie. no xp gain, only downside the chance to miss out on a Battle-Stone dropping).
I have had this guy a long while now. But I have to say he's the best elemental fighter against his own kind that I've got. Any other elemental with pet trainers or pvp he's just amazing! Level him to 25 and see!
Some of you must be extremely lucky. I have leveled over 40 pets at the pool near the Argent Stand and I have yet to see a rare, and only a very, very few uncommon ones. Mostly poor quality and a few common quality. Lame!
UPDATE: Finally got my rare. Leveled 46 pets from around 20-23 range up to 25 before I found it though. Also got a flawless battle stone and leveled 2 87 level toons up as well.
He's perfect for farming Nishi in Pandaria and power levelling two low level pets at a time since he can kill all three of her pets with tidal wave and water jet.
I did level this guy to 25 and REALLY wanted to use him, but he's just not as good as rag, felflame ele, phoenix hatchling or pretty much any of my other ele I use specifically for mechanicals. Don't seem to hit that hard and he can't take a beating either. He's almost dead even before his Geyser hits. Shame really.. At least although Rag is squishy too he hits like a truck.
If you're farming elemental battle stones, this is definitely the place to be. Nowhere else has a good number of high-level elementals.
Obviously they're easy peasy to get, but it took me forever to find a rare. Got one after 3 days, then two more in the next hour, lol. Great place to level pets. So very many wavelings, you just keep switching in new pets and fighting.
Just south of Argent Stand, they are everywhere. Lots of commons & uncommons, but I must have gone thru about 25 of them b4 I got the rare. Came across 2 rare Huge Toads though, as the 2nd or 3rd.
