To obtain this pet players will need to purchase Kukuru's Cache Key from the NPC Master Kukuru. Each key costs 500 Timeless Coins. The key will open any of the chests found in Master Kukuru's cave.

Some young and rambunctious hozen are trained from an early age to use boxing gloves so they don't accidentally kill their tribe members, and more importantly, to keep them from picking their noses.
Very good Humanoid. Powerful attacks, chance to stun, and a dodge. Worst problem is first finding a Bonkers at all and then finding the correct breed you want. Unless very lucky you will have to open A LOT of chests on timeless island. Bonkers just comes in too many breeds. S/S I find most useful in PvP, due to dodge. P/P hits really hard, and 260 speed is not that bad, especially since no other abilities benefit from speed. P/S is good too. Very useful in Celestial Trounament.
I bought 42 keys after about 90 attempts to get Bonkers. Roughly 19k timeless coins. I was ready to rock - go on a chest opening spree!
Next chest, Bonkers drops.

The S/S version may be the best battle pet in the game imo. Punch/Dodge/Tornado Punch is a devastating combo. Bonkers single handlely solo the Yu'la pet in the celestial tournament, I highly recommend leveling the S/S pet to 25.
I wish I could trade him. Just gotten my 5th. Can't cage - just a waste.
To get the keys that everyone's talking about..... go to the cave around 58,42. There are 3 caves in that little "cul-de-sac," and you want the one to the northeast/top right. You buy the keys from the big monkey-looking vendor in the middle of the cave. They cost 500 Timeless Coins for each key.
After buying a key, loot any of the chests around the room. Other commenters say that all chests are the same, so your chance is random. You loot Bonkers, or Timeless Coins, or gear.

Going to have to go back to see if I can pick up a S/S breed. Sure the P/P is strong but without speed allot of attacks can be avoided first -_-... and I thought he would be a one hit wonder... till the rabbit ran down the hole...
Man, I feel like a real loser after reading through these post.
I think the highest number of attempts I read was like 50.
Well unlucky old me is on 243 attempts with no darn monkey.
However I did get baby ape last night, so I'm happy bout that,
but dang I want me a bonkers.
Typically it would take around 30-50 keys to capture a bonkers, although one attempt took me 60 keys. Don't hope for anything less than 25 keys. Too bad he comes in so many different breeds, as obtaining the breed you want is not always easy. The S/S and P/P breeds are on the top of my list. He is not tradeable in any form.
Insane vs. Dragonkin.
I've collected all 3 of the breeds I wanted for Bonkers and all 3 work very well for me.
The P/P breed is devastating if you're vs. slower Dragonkin which is rare. All you need to do is get 3 hits in and chances are the enemy is down.
I use the P/S breed to solo Yu'la, there's some RNG luck required, but more than not I'm able to do it.
S/S breed is just super annoying because it's faster than most Dragonkin and still manages to land big hits.
I just got bonkers first key. Holy cow!
Anyone who had more bad luck then me? Needed 318 chests for him, but got my S/S breed and now I'm happy.

Playing with husband and friend tonight, get bonkers on 4th key. Friend smugly says 'I have three'. Husband jealous because of 4th key scenario. I have a feeling 4th key is significantly lucky...so, it's possible!

246 keys later I finally got this guy and got S/S so hallelujah no more of this bad luck RNG :)
went thru 187 chests and my all coins with hunter , so switched to lock. On about 80th, got one, not right breed so I bought some more coins and tried again. on about 50ish I got a second one, yea, but decided to use up the keys from the 20 lot I bought. I then got three in a row! So now I have 5, such a shame. Now do I keep them and hope they make it cageable in the future? I would love to share it with friends. The drop rate for Bonkers is Bonkers
With Jab/Dodge/Tornado Punch this pet is amazing. Great in the Celestial Tourney, great for boosting and I've ripped apart entire teams in PvP using just this guy. With the dodge (that usually stops 2 rounds) and the chance to stun from Tornado Punch, this pet can be very hard to kill!
This guy is a MUST for the celestial tournament, this little but powerful guy soloed Yu'la .... And he was level 24 (S/S), Dodge to avoid the hard hit, hurricane and jab to put the dragon out of combat ... very happy I got Bonkers
