Use: Right Click to summon and dismiss your disgusting oozeling. Your oozeling has a disgusting aura about him and will significantly reduce your defenses while he is around.

Sell Price: 25silver

To date, this is the only non-combat pet which actually affects combat. Its 'Disgusting Aura' grants -20 defense, -20 to all resistances, and adds a green tint to the owner (group members remain unaffected by this aura). Much like Jubling, if you offer a [Dark Iron Ale Mug] to this pet, it will eagerly move toward it and lap it up.

As of Patch 9.0, the Oozing Bag may be much more difficult to obtain due to the scaling of mobs and the introduction of Chromie Time. Early reports suggest that sub-level 50 players in Chromie Time will see the loot bag drop.

Please be mindful of the aura and DO NOT summon this pet during raids - I've seen many people die fairly quickly while tinged a familiar green during certain encounters. :P

Ahh, the oozeling. A personal favorite of mine, perhaps because of the unusual way I came to possess one.
I'd been farming him consistently for months in EPL & WPL with no luck, & had finally just given up.
Then came the Lunar Festival this year, & as I was crossing Un'Goro Crater on my way to Silithus to visit the Elders, I came upon a random ooze, killed it just for the fun of it, & he dropped an Oozing Bag. And within the bag, was the pet.
I STILL can't believe my extraordinary luck.

I farmed this sucker for at least three days, but I think Swamp of Sorrows is by far the easier place to do so. Mostly because they're not spread out all over the place, you can just run around the little waterways, and they respawn pretty quickly.  Glad I finally got it! And I finished listening to an audiobook while I ran around. And around. And around.

I just got this cute little girl in Swamp of Sorrows. Unlike others here, I ended up farming this pet nearly every weekend since November 2011. I usually spent about 1-3 hours each Saturday/Sunday and I often farmed for him during the week at odd times. All in all, it took me until about an hour ago to get him (Feb, 18,2012.) Keep the faith. She does drop. It can happen for even the wrost of luck farmers.

it looks like ive got a little ooze following a big ooze, like the ones in Hellfire peninsula. maybe im just weird.

Got mine in Eastern Plaguelands. Took about 30 Oozling Bags from the Carrions, around coord. 62, 64.

 

It’s not the worst zone, since you can farm Mr. Grubb at the same time (Hidden Stash from Lucky Charm).

I gave up looking after a month of searching in every available location. I bought it at the AH.

 

I went to Swamp of Sorrows to level up a lowbie to get it ready for power levelling in Pandaria.

 

Just for the heck of it I killed a Slime Glob. It dropped a bag with a Disgusting Oozeling in it. Couldn't stop laughing. :)

I named mine Oozy Oozeburn.  Because it's probably the hellish nasal discharge of a famous rock star, who shall remain nameless.  :)

My suggestion. Go to swamp of sarrows and farm from stonard to the harborage. I caught mine after 2 hours and who knows how many kills ( I watched 3 ep of hercules :D )If you are a hunter they track as elementals. Keep in the water channels and keep making the circuit. I've only ever farmed once before and got incredible lucky. Once I got past the 20 min mark it was easy to just sit back and relax. He's a cute little pile of ooze and worth it!

I finally got mine in the 126 bag I opened. It was the most annoying grind ever, and I did it over four days in Swamp of Sorrows. Best to do 20-50 attempts and then bugger off to do something else so your brain doesn't start to bleed out your ears. Keep going though! It'll happen!

 

(Also I got mine the day after my birthday, aw yeah. :D)

After three days of farming the Swamp of Sorrows and over 900 mirelings killed, I finally got lucky. My warrior's annoyed, my Charge finger's tired, and if I never see another Broken Weapon again in my life, I'll be happy...but that Oozeling is mine!

The Swamp of Sorrows is the only efficient place to get this pet.  The spawn rate of the mobs is very quick (I was farming it along with another person and there was still never a shortage of them).  It took me about 2-3 hours total of farming, I didn't do it in one sitting.  Take an hour or so a day and farm it that way so you don't burn yourself out.

I've opened 132 bags from the Shifting Mireglobs in SoS and no pet yet... I think I've amassed about 400 tons of Broken Weapons in the process.

This one has been tough for me! I have found a good farming spot in Swamp of Sorrows where you never have to wait for respawns. So far I've killed approximately 2700 oozes and have gotten 138 bags with no luck, but the spot is non stop farming with no down time except to npc once bags are full!

That was a real challenge for me as a crazy collector. Swamp of Sorrows: 3 days, about 30 hrs of grinding and over 400 bags opened... finally it dropped... :) great feeling... now I can move onto another pet target, yay...

So I got this cutie in my first bag which dropped off my 3rd ooze. So that alone is pretty lucky and the change of the happening is very very low. Now factor in the fact I got the bag from a rare spawn, and now the chance of me getting it is almost impossible! So long story short, I'm stoked :)

The first time I farmed this pet, it seemed like one of the easiest I had gone after. I sold my first one then went back for two more and sold those too. Huge mistake. Money is good, but now I want one for myself.

7175 dead oozes and 261 bags later I still don't have one. Karma can be a bit unkind...

Finally got mine after what I'm guessing was about 500 kills or so. I didn't have anything to keep track. Swamp of Sorrows and the Mireglobs are definitely the way to go, and I'm so glad that everyone posted comments about that, as it helped me greatly. I got the pet just as someone else started farming the area too ^_^ So lucky I was able to loot it instead of the newcomer.
