Graves is a promotional pet from Blizzard's game Heroes of the Storm. To collect this pet, you must achieve player level 20 in Heroes.
Players will receive Graves in the mail from Breanni with the following message, "We found this little "thing" wandering around the Duskwood Cemetary, collecting skulls. Being the Harbinger of death and destruction that you are, we thought you'd be the perfect owner for this tiny macabre monstrosity!"
Players that obtain Graves earn the achievement Hero of the Storm.

In one invasion of the Haunted Mines, a team of heroes only managed to collect a single skull. The golem that resulted, too small to do much damage to the enemy towers, wandered off into the Nexus, eventually finding its way to Azeroth.
This is, so far as I know, the only pet in the game with two distinct whole-team damage abilities, one per pet (BONESTORM) and one divvied up among the living team members (Grave Destruction). That's over 1400 total damage to a team in two turns, plus the potential for a single 660+ hit on the last opposing pet standing...on an undead with that annoying "gotcha" round AND over 1600 health.
That might have something to do with the rating.
This pet used to be very strong in WoD, because it could AoE teams down easily. However it got nerfed in legion.
The Grave Destruction has been switches with Consume Corpse, which allows you to only take 1 AoE ability instead of 2. Not as good anymore. Still hits hard against humanoids though!

Don't worry if you don't get Graves instantly. I hit level 20 in HoTS weeks ago but didn't receive mine till early this morning... despite relogging about two dozen times. Blizz has stated that they are rolling them out "starting" on the 2nd. Also the achieve is not Beta limited, so you haven't missed out.
PvP AoE wrecking ball, but still needs to be used wisely, big hitters will see him exit early (even with consume) PvE try him against Squirts team in the garrison for a bit of fun.
Still works as of 3/21/21. The procrastinator that I am totally forgot about this for ??? years... Logged into Heroes and with the new leveling was level 25! Logged out and into WoW and Graves was waiting! YEAH!!!
Got him! Your account level on HOTS goes up when your character goes up. It costs 100k XP to go up from level 1 to 2. Your best bet is to level up 20 heroes from level 1 to 2 = 20 matches. Matches lasted on average 15 minutes for me. I recommend going against AI with human team mates (not AI ones, gawd they are awful) and don't go near the PVP areas.

I wanted to confirm i got this pet 8/27/18. The levels are easier to get for heros of the storm now just level a bunch of lowbie characters and each level for the characters is a player level. I had the lvl 20 cap in a couple days just some fyi for anyone else still looking to get this pet.
Can confirm with the new leveling system and free bundle its super quick and easy. I'd recommend using the free gems to buy a stim pack, then play 1 round with each of your new free bundle heroes, almost a guaranteed level per round win or lose, so you can get in and out in 20 rounds (average round is 20-30 min)

Can a moderator please change this pet's battle rating as it has been nerfed to oblivion, and to save people the long hassle of getting this pet.
Bonestorm and Grave Destruction now share the same slot which makes it pretty average in battle :(
Finally! Got Graves after what seemed like forever leveling to 20 in HOTS. It took 91 games to get to level 20. I played Malfurion. My partner played with me and had serious lag. Most of the time he got kicked out of the game several times because of lag spikes. So I cannot tell you how much I resented this game to get this pet. Hope he's worth it.
Kind of disappointed to see all the "Hope I never have to see HotS again" comments. I'm just coming back to WoW after being unsubbed for most of WoD and my main game during the time I was unsubbed was HotS. Nearly 3,000 games played and I still love the game and I never thought I'd say that about a MOBA ever.
Just got mine. Bought Leoric in HOTS and used it to play games without the need to be at the keyboard all the time. Glad the promotion hadn't finished and hope to never see HOTS again.. lol
hey guys, i did get my pet yesterday with the help of a GM. i submitted a ticket and waited for one day and a GM tried to contact me in game and got it delivered manually. so if you haven't got yours, submit a ticket and wait for help or else it just wont come
I am SO bad at games like HotS but I wanted this cool pet. Actually didn't take long with pack and hp boost. Played a bunch of heros, whatever was free. Did daily q and it took me only 4 days to get this, with not particularly long periods of playing. I almost missed him as he showed up in my bag, not the mailbox. So if he's not in the mail, have a double check of bags.
The most powerful pvp pet atm if you know how to run an aoe team!
I just got him today, I played almost all ai games in HotS with a couple with real people.
Got mine 12 March 2023 at player level 20. Definitely easiest to just level each character once or twice to get the 20 levels.
I tried finding this achievement on 2/22 but couldn't find it listed on WoW.
Can you still get Graves and the achievement?
Anyone know by chance?
