Darktide Boneshells and Husks can be found in southern Shadowmoon Valley (Draenor), east of Socrethar's Rise along the coastline.

droped from Darktide Husk and Darktide Boneshell, both are found on shadowmoon valley, on the south-westren side of the map on a small island.
drop rate is pretty high for a pet from a reguler mob - my guess is about 5%~, comes in H/P
Let me start off by saying the Darktide Boneshells and Husks that drop this are WEST of Socrethar's Rise along the coastline. Not east like stated. Saw somebody in trade chat selling this and checked here, saw it was a relatively easy drop and then spent 30 minutes looking in the opposite direction for the mobs. Got two of them in approximately 20 minutes of farming. The mobs respawn quickly and are easy to kill.
Just farmed 3 of these guys.
1st one dropped from mob number 10.
2nd one dropped from mob number 12.
3rd one dropped from mob number 313.
Pretty funny to see that crazy luck at the start and then see the outcome be very close to the statistical likelihood in the end.
I think I'll use him in a PvP team. I think I'll go Creeping Fungus, Rot and Carpnado and use him with a Swamp Croaker and Son of Sethe. Put dots on with Zom, smash them with Croaker, then heal them up with Son of Sethe.
Was hunting for all the treasures around Shadowmoon valley (so wasnt petfarming) and went at the big isle 38,81. (great farmingspot since its alot if adds running around the shoreline)
Only killd 10 trash there and the little one dropped..!Just found out about this guy today. Decided my luck at trying to get him. I seem to have been on the unlucky side of the spectrum, coming in at 399 kills before mine dropped.
With H/P this pet is breed to tank and spank. I have left the move set of infected claw>shell shield> and then toxic skin and go by hitting shell shield followed by toxic skin and spam infected claw and reapply as suited. Hes a real toughy and humanoids hate Zomstrok. Very powerful and strong pet to put against any kind of battle pet with undead and aquatic mix.
Deals a fair amount of dmg for an undead. Personally, the combination of Shell Shield and Toxic Skin is promising. You can keep the dmg taken low, whilst spamming Infected Claw. That or go all out dealing dmg with Infected Claw, Rot, and Carpnado. The last ability, of which, is claimed only by this guy.
• FYI : This ghost crustacean dropped within 5 minutes of farming for it on opening night, which made me so pleased that it didn't take up my leveling time.
Fantastic and strong Undead type pet!
Just returned to the game after a 4 year break, and decided to farm this guy while exploring Shadowmoon Valley. It dropped in less than 10 kills and a second pet dropped immediately after the first. It was a Monday night, very late, around 1 am, and no one was around. Not sure if the time/day makes a difference, but there it is. Terrokar realm. Happy hunting!
Instead of counting kills I just set a timer. It took 20 mins to get my pet. That was about 3 1/2 circles around the group of islands at Forgotten Shore in Shadowmoon Valley. So excited. I was falling asleep. I know that 20 mins isn't very long, but i tire easily ;) teehee!!
Just got him on the Fizzcrank realm after 275 attempts. 41.08, 84.97 was my location.
Took me 279 kills (a side note, I had my minion with me and once I sent her home I got a drop the next kill, not sure if coincidence or not)
I got two within 30 kills then nothing for the 100 or so after that so I gave up on more. cool looking pet though!
Got Zomstrok on 24 attempts.
It took me 228 kills to get mine :| - my little frost mage levelled to 93 from 92. And people farm this for the AH? Nice looking pet though - very happy :). Mine dropped from a mob on the shore near where the arakkoa stands.
603 kills and still counting. It will be mine, oh yes, it will be mine. I finally got it on kill 657. So just got to keep at it.
Grinder these mobs non-stop for 73 minutes before I got one, then another 23 minutes to get a second. I couldn't farm a third /ragequit lol
Got one today after 85 kills.
Didn't even know this guy existed. Stumbled on Zomstrok himself killed him and got him. I have never been that lucky. Looking forward to leveling him.
Unfortunately, I was an unlucky one, it took me 240 kills to get one according to my addon, and it definitely felt like it. Because they were a level 90 spawn, that still didn't take too long at level 100, just slightly annoying. However my "gotta catch em all" attitude wouldn't let me give up. :P
