Breanni Says:

When I first saw Murkimus the Gladiator I thought, "What could be more dangerous than a baby murloc with a spear?" Well... I give you Grunty. Somehow Murky's little cousin managed to visit a parallel universe and get his fins on a rapid fire C-14 Impaler gauss rifle and stim-equipped heavy armor. This gear bears the markings of some group called the Terran Dominion. Now I don't know who these Dominion folks are, but they'd better beef up their security before Murky, Lurky, Gurky, and a host of other baby murlocs make off with the rest of their arsenal.

When I got him in-game the other day, I created a new character in order to see if it would be like the Battle-Bot (I suppose its Warbot now ><) and come in future character's mail. To my pleasure he does come in mail for new alts! :D

It is tied to your Battle.net account, and one is sent to every WoW account tied to that, for you multi-boxers out there.

Yes, I too noticed that he shoots his gun/grenades in combat more often! Maybe 'Non-Combat' doesnt get into him.

The pet icon for this is an egg, not the gun, at least on my end...Cool, seen it's been updated :)

His so called "Vocalizations" are Murloc gurgles that sound muffled by the helmet, as they should sound, also, Teutatis is right, when you learn the pet, the icon changes from the egg to the gun.

A great little pet! He shoots his gun and his missile off frequently, unlike most vanity pets animation specials which take an age to turn up, however, this can be a downfall where there are multiple Grunty's in one place... (We had 3 Grunty's in our 10man raid, 4hrs later, our GM was ready to return each Grunty to its owner with a quick shove where the sun doesnt shine).... and my eye's are still watering.

Pretty loud pet - it's hard to have it out on the raid and don't get spanked by raid leader ^_~ But it's the best mini pet for hunters - especially those using guns. *CLINK-CLANK* *KABOOM* ~_^

This little guy is just like me. He swims like a troll, has no need for good posture, wears bulky shoulders, and has a liking for firing wildly in the air!

A great pet for troll hunters. :D

(btw, seriously check out his swim animation. So awesome seeing him put his gun on his back in the water.)

Yes, I also noticed he goes nuts in fights, so much so I am making a macro to yell "Get em Grunty!" when he goes off. On a side note, Its interesting he isn't account bound like many of the other reward pets. I don't like the mailed pets, as I have on occasion forgotten to check my mail for awhile on new alts and lost my mailed pets.

After some experimentation it was discovered that when fighting with a Zergling, proximity determines who is the victor. If the Zergling is summoned right next to Grunty then the Zergling can often win. If there is distance though then Grunty always wins. Two or more Zerglings is bad in any case. I stopped experimenting after a while because they're cute and I felt bad when they died.

The gurgling he makes sounds like it's coming over a Single Side-Band (SSB) radio.

I absolutely love this pet. It's especially fun when ( as an 80 hunter) i click explosive shot and grunty fires almost simultaneously pointed at the boss :P. It feels like I'm two hunters in one! Love the vocalizations and sounds. Keep 'em coming Blizz!

Be aware that Grunty can be a rather loud pet with his missile firings and gun shooting animations, which he does ALOT. While this makes him incredibly fun, it can also make him a bit distracting if you are also trying to listen to other sounds such as vent conversations or game sounds.

Be sure that when you look for the e-mail for this pet, you check your spam mail too! My e-mail, and many others, reported finding our Grunty codes in our spam folder. If you did not receive it yet, I reccommend contacting Blizzard if you still cannot find your Grunty.

That said, Grunty is by far the coolest mini-pet in my opinion. I just love how he times his gunfire for the most appropriate times. Like when your raid leader tries to explain a fight to newbies =)

My raid leader always insists that I bring Grunty out for all raids, because, let's face it...Grunty is REALLY the only topping the DPS charts. If Grunty can't kill it, nobody can!

He's my favorite pet of all time, and a great good luck charm!

I have half a mind to actually spend the $60 or so bucks to buy Grunty. Sure that sounds ridiculous and I agree, it is, but I still want one. I'm a huge Starcraft geek and I know that I have a much smaller chance of getting the Zergling pet, so I figure burning the cash on Grunty would be a worthwhile investment in the long run.

Maybe they'll add a Protoss pet to the game some day...

A bit of a nit to pick here, but it's not a missile -- it's a grenade. It's not uncommon for military rifles to have a grenade launcher slung under the barrel and the Aliens M41A (more correctly, M41A1) rifles that probably inspired the Starcraft marines' weapons did have that feature.

As for Grunty himself, I love him. I won him via a contest on curse.com and it's so much fun watching his idle animations -- though he's not very good at firearm safety! Too much recoil for such a little guy.

For those of you who don't already know, you should try summoning him while someone else has a zergling pet out....cool little "vocalization" occurs between the two!

All marines are crazy but Grunty is the hairiest scariest, craziest jarhead that ever scratched, kicked, and bit his way out of a zergling ambush.

He has perfect timing with shots I often found him firing off a volley of shots after my party defeated an instance mob, and his grenade that he launches in an attempt to destroy an "invisible spacecraft" is a great way to get noticed in cities.
