Toxic Wasteling

This gorgeous veridian blob of gel gradualy grows larger and larger after it "devoured" several critters. Try take it to the Dalaran sewers for a free buffet and watch it grows to the size as large as a gnome. ;)

Though I can't say I've had the pleasure of obtaining this jewel, I can imagine the penguins near the Argent Tournament Grounds would provide him an adequate feast. :)

[edit]: Now that this little bugger is my new best friend, I'd like to add that the the soft bubbling sound he makes is strangely soothing.

So far I have not been able to get him to eat another minipet. We were quite disappointed when it would not eat my guildie's Argent Squire...

Want to see something REALLY fun? Take it to the crazy cat lady's house in Elwynn forest. It's like Alf, but causes cancer.

One interesting thing for blood spec DKs is that if you have blood worms following you, this pet can and will attack and eat them.

I have always been a fan of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but it seems that the Toxing Wasteling is more ninja then they could ever be, as he gobbled up the 4 turtles and the rat hiding away in the Sewers of Dalaran.

Anyone else notice that this drops off of Hummel and grows big? Think it may have been a step in the development of Papa Hummel's Old-Fashioned Pet Biscuits?

Seems to reach full size after eating about three critters. Takes a bit of time for him to lock onto a target, but he certainly doesn't waste any time getting to his victim. The little guy seems awfully fast for a puddle of quasi intelligent Cologne. Another interesting thing to note is that the critters will despawn when consumed instead of leaving a corpse.

Basically this pet is a Katamari- it eats everything that it is big enough to, and slowly increases in size until it can eat larger stuff. Be warned, for one day it will eat Dalaran whole! Kudos to those who understand.

Ever see a ooze run down and eat a gazelle from the barrens....awesome!

If only it could also eat gnomes....

Fun with guildies: Summon your toxic wasteling, allow it to eat it's fill on critters, toss a Papa Hummel's Pet Biscuit, and watch all your gnome friends flee in terror from the blob that is big enough to eat them.

Double, double, toil and trouble. Fire burn and wasteling bubble!

The wasteling will also eat the flesh-eating insects spawned by Putricide's entrance. It's an all-ooze-can-eat buffet!

For those of you who are engineers, this crazy guy will even eat explosive decoys as they are tagged as critters! Great fun in critter lacking dungeons.

is it just me or does the tooltip remind me a little bit from gremlins?

I never een saw this guy drop. The drop rate must be VERY low.

My advice for anyone who DID manage to get this lil guy...take him to the Deeprun Tram and watch him go nuts.

@Gwynahveer the best thing to do is just let everyone roll on it, and ask the person who wins to trade it with you for a good amount of cash, that's the way i got him. (don't know if this will still be possible in the next patch, but by god, i do hope so!).

I managed to get my little slimer the last day of the event, second summon. I rolled 100! I was so happy I was shaking. I have him out with me constantly! Not only does it have the great little quirk of eating critters, it's just so darn cute!

First thing I did when i got this guy was boogie on over to lvl 60 stath and set off all the traps i could and as it turns out this guy will even eat those little critters that spawn there and attack you. Which makes him the first effective Combat non-combat pet!

This pet just ate the four Ninja Turtles and the rat below the Dalaran Sewers!

That was how the raidchat looked like the last time we had the daily inside 25 man Naxxramas. The whole idea with the slime eating the cat, hearing Kel'thuzad crying out his frustration over his lost pet was just too much to bare.

After roughly 30 min of constant roar of laughter, we could continue... and wipe. Have to love the lil' goo.

Try this! Gather up several critters with a critter biscuit, enjoy your little army, but then deploy your toxic wasteling. Poor little guys :\ Instant food for your toxic wasteling.
