This pet will occasionally spawn an Elwynn Wolf that charges the lamb to kill and eat it, and then falls asleep.

Players can participate in the Argent Tournament, a permanent event in northeastern Icecrown, to earn Champion's Seals. A representative of each race sells a race-specific pet. Alliance characters may purchase this and other alliance-based Argent Tournament pets once they have successfully "championed" that race's cause through various quests. Horde characters may purchase this pet through a neutral auction house and on occasion through their own auction house.

Breanni Says:

This cute little lamb reminds me of the many mobs I have polymorphed over the years. Hmmm... maybe this little guy is polymorphed. Could it be? Only one way to find out... *Fire blast* Oops, I guess it wasn't polymorphed. Mutton anyone?

Let me tell you about the Elwynn Lamb. Do not summon this pet, for it will abandon you. This pet will constantly die a violent death and you can do nothing but watch. If you have abandonment issues, this is not a good pet to have out! Besides, it is probably less cruel to keep it safe in your pet bar than to bring it out into the world with all of those hungry wolves running around.

If this is your favourite pet, invest in the mod Petleash (or similar) so it will re-summon your Lamb when it dies (while your not in combat)

I truly have trouble understanding what possessed Blizzard to add a pet (honestly, for people who probably love their pets) that is killed by a wolf. Really kind of felt like a slap in the face :/ I had always wanted a lamb, but as a result of this (imo) tactless little "animation" I never even take him out. WTB lamb that doesn't get killed repeatedly...

On perhaps 3 occasions for me the wolf would come and actually missed killing the lamb. This happened while I was moving around during raids. The wolf would still fall asleep in the end, he didn't give chase after springing to where the lamb had been standing. It may just be a matter of alertness and timing to save your pet, it could also be a bug.

If you mount up and keep moving, you can get a whole bunch of wolves after your lamb.

1.) Pull out this pet. 2.) Make a macro /rw WOLF!!! 3.) When wolf appears stop whatever your doing and do your best impression of the Lil' Red Ridding Hood encounter from Karazhan. 4.)Spam the macro every so often.

I've stopped healing in the middle of fights (on guildie runs) just to save the lambie-kins. Fortunately they appreciate the humor. PuGs...not so much.

Unlike it's Warcraft 3 counterpart, the Elwynn Lamb does not explode if you continuously click on it.

Elwynn Lamb + Explosive Sheep + Manabonk = Three sheep! A small flock! There should be a screen-shot arranged with several people doing this...after hoarding the mischief maker of course.

I've discovered an environment where your beloved lamb is completely safe from that dastardly wolf: underwater! That nasty ol' wolf will spawn on the bottom of whatever body of water you're currently swimming in and, if your dear little lamb is far enough from the bottom, he'll immediately give up, lay down, and go to sleep.

Of course, you'll have to get used to the smell of damp wool…

The coolest thing about this pet is that its animation is so unlike any other pet animation.
The only problem being that I cry every time the lamb meets its demise at the hands of the wolvar.
The first time it happened, I was in the middle of Heroic Ahn'Kahet... and my guild-mates couldn't bear the wailing on vent... I'm now banned from having him out...

So since I totally never saw anything about the wolf and never had my sheep summoned that long, a few minutes ago I started yelling at a hunter friend in complete disbelief as I thought I saw his wolf-pet eat it and then calmly take a nap.

I like to check the nuetral auction houses when I am near one in hopes of finding some cheap rare find pet. Yesterday I lucked out and got my lamb at less than half of the usual going price on my server. Goes to show that sometimes persistance does pay off :)

I don't know why so many people find the never ending lamb luch Mr. Wolfie gets so sad/tasteless. I for one (being horde thus having to pay about 566g on my sever)Always skipped buying this ally pet thinking "Meh It's just a sheep" But as soon as I found out about What this death bound little lamb did, I had to have him. Nothing funnier than seeing the never ending cycle of life!

Tee-he! ...Wolf.

And seriously, try summoning the robot chicken. These critters walk back to their corpse just like we do.
