Notes:
This is one of several raptor companions introduced in patch 3.2. Ravasaur Matriarch is a rare spawn in southeastern Un'Goro who appears roughly every 10-14 hours. She has many different spawn points, each at one of the many groups of eggs. Note that this raptor hatchling is a little larger than the others.

Breanni Says:

Hunting Log, Day 272: I've been hunting baby raptors for the better part of a year now. This leg of my expedition has kept me a prisoner to Un'Goro Crater for months. There are hundreds of us lying in wait here, eager to get our hands on a Ravasaur Matriarch. And every time one shows up, it's immediately tagged by someone else. I grow weary of the hunt. *sigh* Maybe I'll get Hemet Nesingwary to finish this one for me. He's quite fond of my Mana Biscuits, you know.

This little tyke has become more of an illusion to me than anything else I've ever come across in Azeroth. Before the Matriarch dropped this pet (Before the Patch) I would always see her there in Un'goro, untouched without a care in the world, and now, it's like she's not know what's hit her, and unfortunately, one of those people is me. Stop eluding me Matriarch! :D

While being the hardest of the Raptors to find, thanks to being in the same area as the Ravasaur mount quest, it also holds the distinction of being the biggest Raptor pet, with a size 1/4 times bigger than the other 7.

You gotta do the 3am hunt like I did. I was actually sleeping and bolted out of bed to do and turn in my daily mount quest. I thought as I might as well look for her. Before the patch she was always around. I must of got real, real lucky because there she was, just wandering about. It was like 'buck fever', for those that know what that is. I killed her and actually let out a whoop. :D Good luck, I know you'll get it soon!!!

12 to 14 hour respawn timer for the matriarch for this little guy. Spawn times and coordinates from when I was hunting for it:

7:15 PM est (4:15 PM server/pacific)
66.8,66.6

8:21 AM est (5:21 AM server/pacific)
64.03,62.82

Good luck hunting! This guy is definitely one of my favorite pets. And yeah, he's huuuge, almost the same size as me when I use a Noggenfogger. :D

This one was tough for me. Definitely make use of a targeting macro as I found she was running around in the vicinity of the co-ords previously mentioned. It was so bad, I kept an alt there, and checked for it at odd hours, finally nabbing it at 8am on a Tuesday.

As with the tamable green raptor hunter pet, this little guy does not have feathers or necklaces. All of the other raptor pets and minipets do. I'm not sure why exactly. I tend to favor the unadorned look myself.

The Ravasaur Hatchling is the biggest of the raptor hatchling pets. Most likely because the elite needed to be killed to loot the pet is bigger then the other elites.

This is the only pet that I didn't farm myself. My husband took pity on me sitting in Un'goro for hours, and nearly falling asleep at the keyboard... so he bought one off the AH for me. Paid a lot more than it goes for now, but it was nice to finish off the raptor collection. I really wanted this one because he's the only green raptor (go figure) and bigger than the rest.

Edit: this was back when you had to kill the Matriarch to get it.

Hello,
This pet is part of the new special vanity pets tracking achievement which has been data mined from the 3.3 PTR
As Sateena said, "It tracks several of the rarer pets including whelplings, raptor hatchlings, crocolisks and more".

This is my fav. pet! Why? Its green, and big, and Roaaars, and it dropped on the first day of the Mount dailies and on the last day. Both times at around 4am.

At this point: Try out to nightfarm! Listen to good music, install silverdragon, drink 2 or 3 Energy Drinks and start waiting/slaying. This works for every farmable pet =)

After reading all of the notes, I took everyone's advice and downloaded silverdragon. I ran to ungoro and with in a matter of minutes a raid warning flashed on my screen and I had myself a great new pet!! Ty for the advice!!

Found and killed at 10/7 1:40 am server time on Hellscream. Hope this helps those of you that share my realm get one of your own.

I would also ask that those who happen to kill a rare world raptor and are skinners to let the corpse rot. While seeing a dead one is disappointing it gives collectors an idea of when to start looking again.

Spawned for me at around 66, 62 right on the nest. She's a big green raptor while the others are red so she's rather hard to miss. Good luck :) This pet really is noticeably bigger than the other raptors, and is definitely one of the more uncommon for Alliance :)

I looked for the Matriarch for all 20 days I had for my Venomhide Ravasaur mount quest with my Hunter, and never once saw her, not even with Track Beasts. This is definately one of the more difficult raptors to get. Wish me better luck taking my Forsaken alt out there.

This one took me quite awhile to catch (partially because I saw the Ravasaur Matriarch twice previously and actually *missed* her due to other pet collectors/farmers being quicker.. *grumble*).

I found the best way to farm this pet is to try after a server reset. The Ravasaur Matriarch seems to spawn about 11-14 hours after a reset, which gives you a much shorter window of camping time to worry about (much nicer to camp for a couple hours than half a day) :)

I just started farming all the raptors today. I was going to go do this one last cause I notcie all the comments saying she is never there, but I wasnt have any luck with the other raptors so I decided to just go see if she was there and she was. I suggest waiting late at night when your server doesn't have many people on and check it out.

I was flying over Un'Goro on my way to get the candy bucket in Silithus for Hallow's End, and as I was passing over the SE part of the zone I just happened to spot the Matriarch. So, I backtracked and found her again, killed her, got the pet :) Moral is, if you happen to be flying over where a rare raptor is, don't go afk :D You never know what you'll find!

3.3 Patch notes

Hatchlings: Leaping, Darting, Razormaw, and Ravasaur Hatchlings no longer drop from their associated rare creatures. Instead, there are now rare nests that spawn which contain these hatchlings. For example, the Leaping Hatchling can now be found in Takk’s Nest rather than as a drop from Takk the Leaper.

Taysha:

I know most people do not like camping or farming around the spawn area to make it spawn faster,(killing around spawn really works) but be tenacious and farm, or kill, around the area while patiently waiting for the Ravasaur Matriarch to spawn. This method helped me get the Leaping Hatchling. Try your best!

1:44 PM Server time (Mannoroth Monday October 26)
66.5 67.0 is where she spawned for me

I watched this mob for about 3 mins, I can also confirm along with others that she does not move from the nest she spawns at.

Happy hunting.

I feel sorry for those who camped Ungoro for hours or days, as I got it by luck.

Sunday, november 1. I was flying from Gadgetzan, to Cenarion Hold. During flight, I noticed a matriarch in Ungoro. I flew back from Silithus, and she was still there. I killed her.

Guess too many ppl was busy doing Day of the Dead, Strangletorn Fishing or doing things IRL, so I had her for myself for several minutes, no farmers or robots there.

I have to say, out of eight of the raptors, this one is most definitely (in my opinion) the CUTEST, and it seems to get a lot more attention from people. Here is a tip to help get you your pet, make a macro to /target Ravasaur Matriarch then include /cast icy touch (include an instant cast spell that you have instead of icy touch). I also recommend setting your alarm clock to a time early in the morning so you have better luck finding it. Good luck hunting for your hatchling!

I got incredibly lucky when farming for this one. The matriarch spawned while I was running about Un'Goro working on my unarmed skill(something about punching dinosaurs is amusing to me). Wasn't out there for more than an hour. Guess it was to make up for the 23 times I had to reset WC for the deviate hatchling. ;P
