Notes:
This is one of several raptor companions introduced in patch 3.2. It tends to be easier to farm than other dropped raptors since the mobs are found within an instance.

Hunting Log, Day 145: My Raptor Hatchling Expedition has lead me to Zul'Gurub in search of Razzashi Raptors. Every leg of my expedition up until this point has been met with fierce competition from other hunters of raptor companions. But here in Zul'Gurub, it's quiet. It seems like there's no one else around for miles and miles. It looks like I've got all these mobs to myself! *cheers* But now I'm kind of lonely... Time to summon a random vanity pet. *cage opens* Crud. Why'd it have to be you, yeti?

This is a realtively easy pet to get for most level 80s.

Update: This is a 1 in 100 drop for sure. Been farming on and off and had 4 or 5 drop.

2) enter zg and if ur careful u can run past everything without aggroing.

3) the entrance to boss room has 4 npcs. If u are careful u can run through these without aggroing.

4) there are 3 groups of raptors in here. Plate classes should be able to solo easily. Once killed leave and reset

There's 30-31 raptors in Zul'Gurub for what I've found. 18 of these are in the same room as the boss, others in the room before boss (most of these groups have other mobs also) and 1 raptor I've found pretty far from others.

Most classes should find it easy to farm these at level 80. Remember to make sure you don't let the debuff raptors make to get too many stacks. Don't kill any bosses so it's easy to reset and go again!

I love this pet because it looks cute and evil at the same time :)

Hello,
This pet is part of the new special vanity pets tracking achievement which has been data mined from the 3.3 PTR
As Sateena said, "It tracks several of the rarer pets including whelplings, raptor hatchlings, crocolisks and more".

I farmed these for about a week...and drop rate was about 1 in 120 for the 5. Some only took 80 kills, one took 250. I came back to farm this on Oct 14 and 15, and already I've killed more raptors than I did for the 5 total. I'm over 1200 kills so far and I have not seen one drop. It was so consistent before, I have a hard time believing the drop rate wasn't reduced. Anyone had any luck, or any new data with over 1k kills?

The droprate on this guy used to say 1:100, now it says 1:1000.

I got this guy within a few days of his release and killed about 90 raptors for him. I hear a lot of people complaining about his droprate now. Wonder why they changed it?

I like his red coloring. It makes him stand out from the other raptors.

I think raptors hate my toons >< I've been trying to farm the raptor mount, so I go to ZG about 6 times a week on two toons and kill the raptor boss and all these raptors. I've had two of these pets drop since the patch came out--probably at least 700 kills--and my main is exhaulted with zandalar from killing one boss over and over for a year. -_- This is getting a bit crazy but, sigh, I really want that mount. At least the pet is super cute anyway.

It apparently they didn't made nest for this one just for your information. You still have kill them to get the drop. Good luck getting them like I am =)

Just got one of these my first attempt in zg, came for mount run with a friend, we killed half the raptors in the area then moved on. After he left i decided to kill the rest, and on my 10th kill or so I got one! That and I just found the razormaw nest this morning woohoo!

Just got mine today- solo'd as a demo lock, which took forever. Anyway, after exactly 191 kills I looted this little guy off of one of the raptors that are with the packs of trolls before the bosses room. YAY!
