Pint-Sized Pink Pachyderm

I was really hoping it would look like the quest elephants, with that really cool pink glow but instead it is very plain. A bit disappointing, and not my favorite pet.

On a side note, if you are doing the brewfest quests with the 3-piece outfit, you can sell the pieces back once you complete the achievement and buy this pet.

As other commenters have stated, I too was hoping for a neon pink glow... Tried everything including getting smashed to see if the look would change. Sadly it did not. Not a horrible pet, but without that look difference, it's rather disappointing. Here's to hoping Blizzard will listen and change it in a future patch.

One other thing of note.. "Pint-sized"... BAH! It's bigger than my gnome! "Pint-sized" I tell you... should be able to mount it as a gnome imho. *grumble*

It might not be as pink as I'd like it to be, but it does have a cute bubble blowing animation that its cousin (from another Seasonal event, Peanut) lacks.

If you save up 350 tokens during Brewfest (and previous year currency can be used if you go to a specific vendor to change it) you can buy the 3 piece costume needed for the achievement, sell it back with 2 hours so you can spend 200 on Brewfest Club membership, 100 on this pet with 50 spare for whatever you want!

Brewfest needs its own tab in the Seasonal pets section now that there's more than 1 pet for it!

Edit: I have some ideas for an icon for the Brewfest tab;

1. a Tankard with eyes on it
2. a circle with eyes peeking out of a Tankard
3. A circle with a Brewfest hat and Swirly eyes (because both pets are Hallucinations)

one tip for this pet, if you save your tokens to buy the items for the 'Disturbing the Peace' achievment, you have two hours to return them, so get that achieve then sell the clothes back and buy the pet...

The phenomenon of seeing pink elephants is related to delirium tremens - a.k.a. alcoholic hallucinations, so it's appropriate that they're only seen after you drink from a mug. :)

this is basicly the baby or all the pink elekks around brewfest it is just like one of those brews of brew of the month 1s in which 1 allows you to get a full grow 1 as a compaion for a bit and allows you to ride 1 which is pretty kool other then the fact of it is u don't keep it ( this was info from last years brew of month club but infact the brews from last year will be back)

When trying to use Leashes or Grooming Kits, the following error comes up:
"Spell cannot be cast on a stealthed target"

Doesn't look so stealthed to me ;P

I love, love, love that the summoning animation is to take a swig from a mug! I cracked up the first time I whipped out my Elekk! I do agree a glow, or to look like the pink elekk mobs would have been nice. It's not as if the model doesn't exist! But you know Blizzard, pah!

Started a thread on the suggestion board in the wow forums to make this pet live up to her name. She is not pink enough. Maybe a neat bubbly pink aura, or anything really to spice her up and bring on her A game. Till then this poor gal sits on the B-list.

This not a "baby elekk!" It was renamed for a reason! Elekks have no prominent external ears. This Pachyderm as well as his non-alcohol produced brother, Peanut clearly have very large ears. So either they are not really elekks, or those Ethereals hunt more than just ivory!

IF you look closely the shade of this pet is more of a match to the Pink Elephants in the Dumbo sequence "Pink Elephants on Parade." It would fit as this is the most likely inspiration for the pet, the npcs and the quest.

I spent my first 100 tokens on this pet, before purchasing any of the other Brewfest items, on the off change that maybe my power got disconnected, or maybe the cable would get upgraded, or maybe my time card would expire and then I'd miss out on this pet for another whole year! Probably over-dramatic, but I prioritised it!

I would hazard a guess that that's because of the whole "other people not in your party can't see it unless they're drunk" thing, a quality this pet shares with the Wolpertinger. Does the Wolpertinger give that error message with grooming/balls/leashes? (not high enough level to get to Dalaran to check for myself, sigh)

Edit: Tried it recently (having leveled up a bit) and can say that they fixed whatever the problem was, both this lil cutie and Das Wolpertinger play fetch! ^_^

Ok, people are saying this thing is huge. Nope, both my Bloodelf Hunter and Death-knight's go up a little past their ankles.

So cute and adorable!!!!!!!!!! I dont think they have ever made a pink elephant before and even better He plays fetch with the Fetch balls but you cant put him on leash or give him a bath but he loves the treats! The quest is also kind of cool but I feel kind of bad for him because he looks like a baby compared to the elephants you actually catch maybe they just shrunk the pet though.

I love the "Pink Elephant" reference that Blizzard did with introducing this little guy.

I think that this is my rarest pet I have and Brewfest was a blast cant wait till next year for it again!
